Now Accepting CDs For 2018 IBC Competition

"Best Self-Produced CD" To Go To Memphis

From now until September 30, 2018, the Minnesota Blues Society is accepting CDs produced by Minnesota acts for consideration for the Blues Foundation's "Best Self-Produced CD" Competition. A panel of local judges will select a CD as the Minnesota Blues Society's affiliate-representative at the competition. CDs will be judged on: (1) Blues Content, (2) Musical Performance, (3) Audio Quality of the Presentation, (4) Cover Art and Design and (5) Credits and Liner Information. The CD must have been released between October 1, 2017 - September 30, 2018 to be eligible for this year's competition (the Minnesota Blues Society's deadline is earlier than the Blues Foundation deadline because we have to have time to determine an affiliate winner). Performers who have previously been nominated for a Blues Music Award (formerly the W.C. Handy Music Award) are not eligible. For complete rules see: IBC Self-Produced CD Official Rules. All entries must be received by September 30, 2018.
