One happy surprise was an appearance by Big John Dickerson who made the journey by bus all the way from Ohio to accept his award from Famous Dave Anderson and to treat the audience to a song.

Thanks to the many volunteers, musicians, the presenters and staff at Wilebski's who helped to make this event a rousing success. Also, special thanks to Ellis Drums and Willie's American Guitars for providing backline equipment. Above all, thank you to all of the Blues fans who turned out for the event. Without you none of this would have happened. — Jake Jacobson
